With the official launch of the ‘Happy Reading Month’ project in 2017, various kinds of reading activities went forward in Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department. On 10th April, the ‘Lead Reader’ tour lecture was formally established.
Specifically, each class chose one lead reader from Grade 4 to Grade 6, each of whom carried their favorite picture books, idiom stories and children ’s literary works to enter the junior-grade classrooms and shared their own reading experience and gains with fellow students.
To sum up, with the narration of the little ‘lead readers’, children in junior grades were deeply impressed with the vivid and interesting stories, profound fables as well as lively and lovely book characters, which further motivated their confidence and interest in reading.
In the meantime, warm congratulations to Anqing Foreign Language School for her second prize win in Junior High Group of the 2017 Teenagers’ Information Science Olympic Competition in Anqing City.
Furthermore, student Xi Zhaoyang had the honor to gain the first prize while Wang Zijun and He Zehua both obtained second prizes in Junior High Group. Their adviser was Yu Wangqin.
Last but not the least, students He Yifei and Ding Xiangyu were awarded third prizes in Junior High Group and their adviser was Qian Feng.
